Description

This Loaded Dill Pickle Ranch Dip is a creamy, tangy, and flavorful appetizer perfect for entertaining or snacking. Combining the sharpness of cheddar, the zest of dill pickles, and the savory crunch of bacon with a rich blend of Greek yogurt, cream cheese, and sour cream, this dip offers a delightful balance of textures and tastes. Enhanced with a kick from pickled jalapeños and the brightness of fresh dill, it’s ideal for serving with chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Scale

Dairy Base

  • 1 ½ cups Greek yogurt (or Skyr yogurt)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cheddar (grated)

Pickle Ingredients

  • ¾ cup dill pickles (chopped)
  • 4 tbsp pickle brine
  • 1 tbsp pickled jalapeños (minced)

Seasonings and Garnish

  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
  • 6 slices cooked bacon (crumbled)
  • Scallions (for serving)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Blend the dairy base: Add the Greek yogurt, cream cheese, sour cream, and pickle brine into a food processor. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, forming the flavorful base for the dip.
  2. Prepare the add-ins: Finely chop the dill pickles, pickled jalapeños, and fresh dill to ensure even distribution and texture in the dip.
  3. Combine ingredients: Transfer the blended yogurt mixture to a mixing bowl. Add the chopped pickles, jalapeños, ranch seasoning, grated cheddar cheese, crumbled cooked bacon, and chopped dill. Stir well to combine all ingredients thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
  4. Chill and garnish: Cover the dip and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Before serving, garnish with extra fresh dill, additional crumbled bacon, chopped pickles, and scallions for an attractive presentation. Serve with chips or crackers and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, increase the amount of pickled jalapeños.
  • Use Skyr yogurt as a substitute for Greek yogurt for a thicker texture.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easier blending.
  • This dip can be made a day ahead for enhanced flavor.
  • Serve with a variety of dippers like pretzels, vegetable sticks, or toasted baguette slices for variety.
