Ingredients
Scale
Produce
- 2 small beets
- ¼ baby watermelon (equivalent to about 2 cups of watermelon cubes, rind removed)
- 1½ cups mixed berries (strawberries, red currants, raspberries)
- ½ cup pitted cherries
Instructions
- Prep the produce: First, cut up the watermelon and remove the rind (optional but recommended to wash thoroughly if using rind). Wash the beets, berries, and cherries. You can leave the berries and beets whole or trim the ends of beets if desired. Remove the stems and pits from the cherries carefully, as cherry pits are toxic and can damage your juicer.
- Juice the ingredients: Add all prepared ingredients to your juicer and start juicing. If you are using a different type of juicer than a cold press, you may need to cut the watermelon and beets into smaller pieces before juicing each one separately to ensure smooth juicing.
- Serve & enjoy: Pour the freshly extracted juice into glasses or jars, optionally adding ice cubes for a refreshing chill. For best flavor, you can refrigerate the produce before juicing. This recipe makes about 750mL (3 cups), sufficient for 3 small or 2 larger servings. Enjoy it as part of breakfast, a coffee replacement, or an afternoon snack.
Notes
- This recipe yields approximately 750mL (25 fl. oz) or 3 cups of juice.
- Cherry pits must be removed to avoid toxicity and juicer damage.
- Watermelon rind is edible and nutritious if thoroughly washed but may change flavor and yield.
- Juice is best consumed fresh but can be refrigerated up to 2-3 days in an airtight container or frozen in ice cube trays.
- Feel free to adjust beet quantity to balance sweetness and earthiness to your preference.
