Ingredients for Mushrooms & Onions:
- 1 large onion, halved and sliced
- 1/2 pound Portobello mushrooms, sliced
- Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Ingredients for Hamburger Steaks:
- 8 hamburger steaks (made with ground chuck)
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- 8 pats of butter, 1/4 teaspoon each
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Heat oven to 415 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Prepare Vegetables: Line a baking pan with tin foil. Place onions and mushrooms on the pan, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt & pepper, and toss to coat.
- Cook Hamburger Steaks: Nestle each hamburger steak on top of the veggies. Season each patty with salt and pepper. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until steaks are browned around the edges.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from the oven, top each steak with a pat of butter, let rest for 5 minutes, and serve with your favorite side dish.

- For a richer flavor, you can sauté the mushrooms and onions in a skillet before transferring them to the sheet pan.
