Cubed Cantaloupe:
- 2 pounds cantaloupe, cubed
Mint Syrup:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 small bunch fresh mint
Slush Mixture:
- 1 lime, juiced
- Big pinch salt, to taste
- 3 shots vodka
Instructions
- Freeze Cantaloupe – Arrange the cubed cantaloupe evenly on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and freeze until solid, about 1–2 hours.
- Prepare Mint Syrup – Combine granulated sugar, water, and mint in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the syrup takes on a light green hue from the mint, about 2–4 minutes.
- Strain Syrup – Strain the syrup to remove the mint, discarding the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- Blend Slush – Add the frozen cantaloupe cubes, mint syrup, lime juice, salt, and vodka to a high-speed blender. Puree until smooth and slushy.
- Serve – Pour the melon slush into chilled glasses and garnish as desired. Serve immediately.
