Description
These Peaches & Cream Popsicles are a refreshing and creamy summer treat, combining the natural sweetness of ripe peaches with the smoothness of milk or cream and a hint of vanilla. Easy to make with just a few ingredients and perfect for cooling down on a warm day.
Ingredients
Scale
Fruit
- 4 medium-large peaches
Liquid
- 1 cup milk or cream
- ½ cup orange juice
Sweetener and Flavorings
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the peaches: Rinse the peaches thoroughly under running water. Cut each peach in half and remove the pits, but keep the skins on for added texture and nutrients.
- Blend the ingredients: In a blender, combine the peaches, milk or cream, orange juice, white sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until the mixture is smooth and evenly mixed.
- Fill the popsicle molds: Pour the blended mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion. Insert popsicle sticks into each mold.
- Freeze the popsicles: Place the molds in the freezer and allow them to freeze for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, until solid.
- Unmold and store: Carefully remove the popsicles from their molds. If desired, wrap each popsicle in plastic wrap for easier handling and place them back in the freezer until ready to serve.
Notes
- Keeping the skins on the peaches adds extra fiber and nutrients as well as a slight tartness that balances the creaminess.
- You can substitute the milk or cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
- If you prefer sweeter popsicles, increase the sugar slightly according to taste.
- Use ripe, fragrant peaches for the best flavor.
- Make sure to freeze completely before removing molds to prevent breakage.
