Ingredients
Scale
For the Meat Sauce:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Cheese Mixture:
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For Assembly:
- 9 lasagna noodles (uncooked)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, leaving the drippings in the skillet. Add the ground beef and finely chopped onion to the skillet and cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat. Stir in minced garlic, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
- Assemble the Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of the prepared meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange 3 uncooked lasagna noodles evenly on top. Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles and sprinkle half of the cooked bacon evenly over the cheese layer. Add another layer of meat sauce. Repeat with another set of noodles, cheese mixture, bacon, and meat sauce. Finish with the remaining 3 noodles and the last of the meat sauce. Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top layer.
- Bake the Lasagna: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese on top is bubbly and golden brown.
- Serve: Allow the lasagna to cool for about 10 minutes to set. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Slice, serve warm, and enjoy this savory and cheesy Parmesan Garlic Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna!
Notes
- Using uncooked lasagna noodles saves prep time but make sure to have enough sauce to properly cook the noodles during baking.
- Letting the lasagna rest after baking helps it set and makes slicing easier.
- For a spicier twist, add red pepper flakes to the meat sauce.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
- If preferred, pre-cook the lasagna noodles before assembling for a different texture.
