  • Author: Lila
  • Total Time: 2 hours (including chilling time)

  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Delicious and easy No Bake Oreo Balls made with crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, coated in rich chocolate and white chocolate for a perfect sweet treat without the need for baking.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 40 Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate melting wafers (or candy coating)
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate melting wafers (or candy coating)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside to prepare a surface for the Oreo balls.
  2. Crumbs: Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs to create the base mixture.
  3. Whisk: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the cream cheese until smooth, approximately 1 minute, ensuring the mixture is creamy and lump-free.
  4. Mix: Add the Oreo cookie crumbs to the cream cheese and mix thoroughly until well combined, forming a uniform dough-like mixture.
  5. Roll: Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized balls and place them onto the prepared cookie sheet, spacing them evenly.
  6. Freeze: Freeze the Oreo balls for 15 to 30 minutes to help them firm up and hold their shape for dipping.
  7. Melt: Place the chocolate melting wafers in one microwave-safe bowl and the white chocolate wafers in another. Melt both according to the packaging instructions, heating in short intervals and stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  8. Dip: Remove the Oreo balls from the freezer. Using forks, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Dip half the balls in regular chocolate, the other half in white chocolate. Place them back on the cookie sheet, drizzle with additional chocolate, and sprinkle crushed Oreos on top for extra texture and decoration.
  9. Chill: Chill the dipped Oreo balls in the refrigerator for at least one hour to allow the coating to set before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing and smooth texture.
  • Use parchment paper on the cookie sheet to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  • You can substitute chocolate melting wafers with high-quality chocolate chips if desired, but melting can be more delicate.
  • Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • For added flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture.
