Description

Delicious No Bake Energy Balls are a quick, healthy, and convenient snack packed with wholesome ingredients like rolled oats, nut butter, honey, and flaxseed. These energy balls require no cooking and are perfect for busy lifestyles, offering a naturally sweet and satisfying boost anytime.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats (not instant)
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • pinch salt (if using unsalted nut butter)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (or almond butter, cashew butter)
  • 1/3 cup honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine wet ingredients. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the creamy peanut butter (or your chosen nut butter), honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Stir these ingredients together until well combined and smooth, forming a cohesive base.
  2. Add dry ingredients. To the wet base, add rolled oats, ground flaxseed, and a pinch of salt if using. Fold in mini chocolate chips if desired for extra sweetness.
  3. Mix thoroughly. Use a sturdy spoon or spatula to mix everything together evenly. The mixture will initially appear crumbly; continue mixing and incorporate your hands if needed until the mixture is sticky enough to hold its shape with no dry patches.
  4. Chill the mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes. This firms the mixture and makes it easier to handle and roll.
  5. Form energy balls. Scoop approximately 1 tablespoon of mixture at a time and roll between your palms to form 1-inch diameter balls. Repeat until all mixture is used.
  6. Serve and store. Enjoy immediately or let them sit a few minutes at room temperature for optimal texture. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7–10 days or freeze for 2–3 months without reheating.

Notes

  • Store energy balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7–10 days.
  • Can be frozen for longer storage up to 2–3 months.
  • No reheating is necessary before eating.
  • Optional chocolate chips add sweetness but can be omitted for a healthier version.
  • Use your hands to ensure the mixture is fully combined and sticky enough for rolling.
