Scale
Slider Ingredients
- 1 package Savory Butter Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
- 12 slices black forest ham
- 6 slices Havarti cheese
Buttery Topping
- 4 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1/4 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
Instructions
- Prepare rolls and baking dish. Slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half without separating individual rolls. Remove the top half and set aside. Lightly grease a 9×12 inch baking pan with butter and place the bottom half of the rolls inside, keeping the rolls connected.
- Add ham and cheese. Layer each bottom roll with one slice of black forest ham and half a slice of Havarti cheese, distributing evenly across all rolls.
- Prepare and add buttery topping. In a microwavable bowl, melt 4 tablespoons of salted butter by heating it for about 30 seconds. Stir in 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (if using), 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (if using), and 1 tablespoon poppy seeds. Place the top half of the rolls back over the layered bottom half and brush the buttery mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
- Bake. Loosely cover the baking pan with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns are golden brown.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the butter topping mixture.
- You can swap Havarti cheese for Swiss or mozzarella if preferred.
- Leftover sliders can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven to maintain crispness.
- Make sure to keep the rolls connected during baking to make serving easier and prevent sliders from falling apart.
