Ingredients
Scale
Protein
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
Vegetables
- 8 ounces green beans, trimmed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
Sauce & Seasonings
- 1/3 cup sweet Thai chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Others
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the sweet Thai chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Heat the Pan: Preheat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil, allowing it to get hot but not smoking.
- Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken strips to the skillet and stir-fry for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is lightly browned and nearly cooked through.
- Add Green Beans: Push the chicken to one side of the pan, add the trimmed green beans, and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes until the beans turn bright green and are tender-crisp.
- Add the Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and green beans. Stir well to coat everything evenly and continue cooking for 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and the chicken to finish cooking.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle sesame seeds over the stir fry, remove from heat, and serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- For extra heat, increase the red pepper flakes or add fresh sliced chili peppers.
