  • 1 1/2 quarts of blackberries
  • 1 1/2 quarts of diced peaches (about 9 peaches)
  • 6 cups of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Two 3-oz pouches Pectin

Instructions

  1. Prep: Wash jars, bands, and lids.
  2. Prepare the Peaches: Blanch peaches, peel, and chop to measure 1 1/2 quarts.
  3. Prepare the Blackberries: Wash and drain blackberries, measuring 1 1/2 quarts.
  4. Cook the Jam: Combine blackberries, peaches, lemon juice, sugar, and spices in a saucepan. Boil until mixture reaches jelling point.
  5. Fill Jars: Ladle hot jam into jars, leaving a 1/4-inch headspace. Process filled jars in simmering water for 10 minutes.

Notes

  • You may need extra Pectin if the jam doesn’t set properly.
  • To blanch peaches, prepare a pot of boiling water and a large bowl of ice water.
