Description

Indulge in the perfect combination of creamy burrata cheese, salty prosciutto, sweet peaches, and a touch of hot honey on crispy, cheesy crostini. This recipe is a delightful blend of flavors and textures that make for an impressive appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheesy Base:

  • 1 loaf of sourdough or French baguette, sliced
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ⅓ cup grated Pecorino cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Additional Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces prosciutto
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese, at room temperature
  • 2 peaches, sliced
  • Hot honey (for drizzling)
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Cheesy Base: On a baking sheet, mix together the Parmesan, Pecorino, grated garlic, fresh thyme, melted butter, and a pinch of black pepper. Spread this mixture evenly across the sheet.
  3. Assemble the Bread: Place the sliced baguette over the cheesy mixture, then brush the tops of the bread with additional melted butter. Arrange the prosciutto slices on top of or around the bread.
  4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the bread is golden and crispy and the prosciutto has crisped up nicely.
  5. Assemble the Crostini: Transfer the cheesy bread to a serving platter or board. Tear the burrata and spread it over the bread. Top with fresh peach slices, crispy prosciutto, and basil leaves.
  6. Finish and Serve: Drizzle the crostini with hot honey for a sweet and spicy kick. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the prosciutto.
  • Adjust the sweetness by drizzling more or less hot honey based on your preference.
