  • Author: Lila
  • Total Time: 3 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

This Banana & Nutella Frozen Yogurt Bark is a delicious and refreshing treat combining creamy Greek yogurt, sweet banana slices, rich Nutella, and crunchy nuts and chocolate chips. Perfect for a healthy snack or dessert, it’s easy to make and requires minimal prep time with no cooking involved.

Ingredients

Scale

Yogurt Mixture

  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (or your favorite yogurt)
  • 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup, for sweetness)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Toppings

  • 1 large banana, sliced
  • 1/3 cup Nutella
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or almonds, optional)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Yogurt Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and honey. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended. Add a pinch of salt if desired to enhance the flavor.
  2. Spread the Yogurt: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Pour the yogurt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
  3. Add Toppings: Evenly arrange the sliced bananas over the yogurt layer. Drizzle Nutella over the top using a spoon or piping bag, and swirl lightly with a knife to create a marbled effect. Sprinkle chopped nuts and mini chocolate chips evenly over the surface if using.
  4. Freeze: Place the baking sheet in the freezer and allow the bark to freeze completely for at least 3-4 hours until firm.
  5. Break and Serve: Remove the frozen yogurt bark from the freezer and let it sit for a few minutes to soften slightly. Break the bark into pieces and serve immediately, or store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for later enjoyment.

Notes

  • Use plain Greek yogurt for a thicker texture, or substitute with your favorite type of yogurt.
  • Honey can be replaced with maple syrup to keep the recipe vegan-friendly if a plant-based yogurt is used.
  • Chopped nuts and mini chocolate chips add texture and flavor but can be omitted for a simpler version.
  • Allow the bark to sit a few minutes after freezing before breaking to prevent cracking into too many small pieces.
  • Store leftovers in the freezer to maintain freshness and texture.
