Ramen Noodles:

  • 2 cakes dry instant ramen noodles (140 g)

Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onion stalks, white and green parts separated
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes or coarse chili powder
  • 2 tablespoon white sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (vegetarian)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional)
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Toast sesame seeds: Toast sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until golden, then transfer to a bowl.
  2. Prep the sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, and cornstarch in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Cook the ramen: Boil water, cook ramen noodles per package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  4. Stir fry ramen: Heat sesame oil, sauté white parts of green onion and garlic, add chili flakes, pour in sauce, simmer, add noodles, mix well. Finish with scallion greens and sesame seeds.
